Day 01. Flight to Delhi
Around midnight arrival in Delhi. The cosmopolitan City and
capital Delhi is the main gateway for travelers. You are met by our
representative and transferred to the Hotel.
Day 02. Old - New Delhi
This morning is at leisure. Afternoon sightseeing in Old Delhi. We take
a Rickshaw Ride parallel to the Red Fort through the old city and famous
Silk Road and Silver Bazaar. Sightseeing of Old Delhi includes "Rajghat",
the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Masjid and the great
mosque of old Delhi. Today we also visit the famous "Humayun Tomb" which
is the first substantial example of Mughal architecture in India and
“Kutab Minar” which is 71 meter high and was constructed in 1199. Before
we proceed to the Hotel we have a drive through New Delhi where we see
the India Gate, Government Buildings and Embassies.
Day 03. Delhi - Sariska
Today we leave the capital and drive to Sariska Tiger Reserve which is
situated in the northern part of Aravali hills. Sariska has an area
above 479 square km and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1973 from the
government of India. We take a Jeep ride to watch the activities of
Sambars, Chitals, Nilgais, Chausinghas, Jackals, Wild boars, langurs
etc. If we are lucky enough today we might have an audience with the
Tiger which are numerous in this park.
Day 04. Sariska - Jaipur
Today we drive to the Pink City, Jaipur. This city owes its name,
foundations and careful planning to the great warrior and astronomer,
Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and
famous for its handicrafts and precious and semiprecious stones. In the
afternoon we visit the city palace which is still the formal residence
of the royal family, built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal
architecture. In the museum of the city palace we visit the private
collection of the Jaipur Maharajas. We continue to Jantar Mantar, a
stone observatory, the largest of Jai Singh's five remarkable
observatories. Its complex instruments reveals us the secrets of
medieval Indian astronomy.
Day 05: Jaipur Sightseeing
The entire day will be spent in exploring Jaipur. First in the Jaipur
itinerary, will be a visit to the splendid monuments of the city
including Hawa Mahal (palace), Jantar Mantar (an observatory) and the
City Palace. Afternoon will be spent in shopping at Clock Tower and
Sardar Market. Your meals will consist of a typical Rajasthani cuisine
at Rajasthani Village (Choki Dani), served in typical Rajasthani thalis
(plates). The over night stay will be at the Jaipur hotel.
Day 06: Jaipur - Ranthambore
Breakfast will be in Jaipur itself. Thereafter, you
will
leave for Ranthambore National Park. The first and foremost thing will
be checking in at the hotel in Sawai Madhopur. Afterwards, you will
enjoy a jeep safari, mainly for the purpose of spotting tigers in this
park. Ranthambore is also home to a large number of other wild species
like monkeys, langurs, alligators and even a wide variety of birds.
Ranthambore wildlife resort will play host for you at night.
Day 07: Ranthambore - Bharatpur
In the morning, a drive to Bharatpur bird sanctuary will be awaiting
you. One of the finest bird parks in the world, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
houses over 400 species of bird. The major attractions of the park
include a number of migratory birds, which spend their winters in
Bharatpur, before returning to their breeding grounds. Migratory birds
at Bharatpur bird sanctuary include, Cranes, Pelicans, Geese, Ducks,
Eagles, Hawks, Shanks,
Stints, Wagtails, Warblers, Wheatears, Flycatchers, Buntings, Larks and
Pipits, etc. An evening drive to Agra City will conclude the day. Night
stay will be in an Agra hotel.
Day 08: Bharatpur - Agra
The morning in Agra will be completely
for the purpose of enjoying the amazing monuments of the city. The first
stop will be at the exquisite Taj Mahal, the magnificent monument of
love. India’s most famous architectural wonder, Taj Mahal, will surely
submerge you in its intricate designs and fascinating beauty.
Thereafter, will be a guided tour of the Agra Fort, another
architectural splendor of the Mughals. Then, after having lunch, you
will be visiting tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. It was the first Mughal
building to be built completely of marble. You will rest at night in the
hotel itself.
Day 9: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri
The morning will bring you an excursion to deserted city of Fatehpur
Sikri, just 40 km from Agra. Mughal emperor Akbar got this city, now a
world heritage site, constructed. However, because of acute shortage of
water, this city was deserted after 15 Years. On the itinerary of Fatehpur Sikri will be some splendid buildings - Anup Talab, Buland
Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Chishti ki Dargah (tomb of the holy saint Salim
Chishti), Diwan-e-Khas, etc, among others. After this visit, you will
directly leave for Delhi and stay over night at the hotel.
Day 10: Delhi

Day 11: Departure from Delhi
In the morning, you will be provided with a farewell breakfast.
Afterwards, you will leave for the international airport. En-route, you
will be visiting the Chattarpur Mandir (Temple), one of the famous Hindu
temples dedicated to Goddess Durga. The temple has some most beautiful
carvings and big gardens. From there, you will be taken to the airport
to board a flight to destination. |
